In Pictures: New adverts on Edinburgh Trams

There have recently been a couple of new adverts stuck onto trams in Edinburgh. One is the latest full vinyl wrap whilst the other is a more “traditional” Edinburgh style partial advert, with both debuting in mid-June as we see in this article.

With the two adverts being applied around about the same time we’ll take a look at them in numerical order and that means we start with 261 which has swapped one partial advert for another.

261 had previously been carrying an advert for Scottish Rugby (in fact it had three consecutive adverts for Scottish Rugby, starting off in November 2021) but now features advertising for Edinburgh Bus Tours. It, of course, features full height vinyls on two sections of the tram with the other five sections just seeing ads above the windows.

This is the second time that Edinburgh Bus Tours have advertised on the trams with 269 having carried an advert between May 2022 and February 2024.

Meanwhile, 271 is now carrying a new full vinyl wrap having lost its advert for Breitling. This advert had been on the tram since February 2024 and had replaced another wrap for OVO Energy (October 2023-February 2024) making this its third full wrap.

It is now advertising Mappin and Webb (who have a jewellery and luxury watch showroom at Multrees Walk, Edinburgh) and the vinys use a mixture of dark blue and pink. As normal it also contains full height vinyls on sections three and five of the tram.
